Perhaps there’s something in the water.

A story on reports a case of baby fever among the celebrity culture, from David and Victoria Beckham to country singer Jewel. Announcements of bundles of joy on the way have dominated the Hollywood headlines in the past few weeks, and the expectant parents are basking in the glow of pending parenthood.

The Beckhams — he a famed soccer star on both sides of the pond and she a former Spice Girl who has dabbled in fashion and reality TV — posted earlier this week that Baby No. 4 is on the way this summer. Parents to three boys ages 5, 8 and 11, maybe the couple will have a little girl. Hmm, either way, they are happy about the new addition to their family.

Jewel and her rodeo champ husband Ty Murray are thrilled about their first child on the way. According to the report, the couple tried for two years to conceive.

Actress Tia Mowry (“Sister, Sister”) and actor husband Cory Hardrict (“Battle: Los Angeles”) are expecting their first child July 3, and plan to document their story on the Style channel, according to the Yahoo report. French Oscar-winner Marion Cotillard and boyfriend, French actor/director Guillaume Canet, anticipate their first child and announced the pregnancy Monday, and actor Owen Wilson and girlfriend, Jade Duell, are apparently due any day now.

Actress Natalie Portman announced not only her pregnancy but her engagement to dancer/choreographer Benjamin Millipied. Another actress, Jennifer Connelly, mom to 13-year-old and 7-year-old sons, will welcome Baby No. 3 with husband Paul Bettany. Finally, “30 Rock” star Jane Krakowski, 42, and her fiance, Robert Godley, are expecting their first child together.

As for recent arrivals, ABC’s “Good Morning America” reported Wednesday morning about People magazine’s feature on actors John Travolta and Kelly Preston and their little bundle of joy, Benjamin, who made his entrance into the world¬† Nov. 23. He joins big sister, Ella, 10. The couple unfortunately lost their 16-year-old son, Jett, in 2009 to a seizure. However, reports note that the couple were trying to have another baby for at least three years.

Oh wait, there’s another celeb baby on the way: recently posted that actress Kate Hudson, who has a 7-year-old son with ex-husband Chris Robinson (Black Crowes frontman), is now having a baby with Muse rock band frontman Matthew Bellamy.

I’m sure fans will be watching and waiting for the baby bumps and baby buggies to appear online and in print, and hoping for happy and healthy pregnancies and babies for the expectant parents.
